Curriculum

In line with our inclusive ethos, we have developed a curriculum that ensures all learners can access and succeed. Our curriculum offer ensures that throughout the primary phases, the progression of knowledge and skills is carefully mapped to support strong pupil outcomes.

Our curriculum is designed to enable our experienced teachers to plan engaging and inspiring learning opportunities that prepare our children for their next steps in learning. We want all of our children to develop a learner profile that is Motivated, Independent, Resilient, Responsible, Open-minded and Respectful. We aspire to create lifelong learners who are well prepared for life after Vigo.

At Vigo primary school, we ensure that our curriculum is accessible to all learners. In the event that the learning journey of a child requires reasonable adjustments or adaptions, then the school's SENCo will work with the class teacher to develop an individual learning plan that will meet the needs of the learner and be fully inclusive of the curriculum. All adaptions will be in consultation with parents and further information can be found on the Inclusion pages of the school website.
